1968 magazine ad from GRT, the company who handled Strawberry Alarm Clock’s 8-track tapes. Also included are tapes by Pink Floyd, Max Frost and Fever Tree. The sneering text at the bottom takes pains to point out the cardboard cases of the tapes: “How can anyone compete with GRT’s exclusive picture-on-the-end packages? If you’re the competition, isn’t it time you got the picture?”Each of Strawberry Alarm Clock’s four studio albums were released as 8-track tapes, as were the compilations Best Of Strawberry Alarm Clock (1970) and Changes (1971). Also released on 8-track were the two movie soundtracks the band contributed to, Psych-Out and Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls.
