“Pass Time With The SAC” is a short instrumental song and the eighth track on Strawberry Alarm Clock’s 1967 LP Incense And Peppermints. Apparently conceived as and included as filler for the short album, “Pass Time With The SAC” is actually a pretty fiery performance.
Ed King’s distorted guitar twists all over the place, as the jumpy organ pumps the song along. It leads nicely into the album’s general focus point, the hit song “Incense And Peppermints”.
At little more than a minute’s length, “Pass Time With The SAC” fades out although the band appears to be still going strong; hopefully when this album finally gets the deluxe release it deserves, the full performance will be issued as a bonus track. Why it was cut off to begin with is a mystery; Incense And Peppermints is barely over 30 minutes long even with such ‘filler’.
One notable thing about the track is that, like the album cover, it puts a ‘The’ in front of the band’s name, although other albums and singles did not. Even the title is padded!

Very exhilariting despite short length and hopefully one day will get full appreciation. Good work all round.
